LEAGUE OF FRIENDS FUNDS EQUIPMENT FOR ILKESTON COMMUNITY OUTPATIENTS

The League is delighted to fund the purchase of 2 bladder scanners for use by the frailty team at Ilkeston Community Hospital. The scanners are useful pieces of kit, fully portable and are used to help assess urology patients with a view to quickly deciding treatment programmes. Helpful to have this equipment locally and reduces the need for patients to travel to acute hospitals for assessment.

The photograph shows Angela Shaw (Care co-ordinator, frailty team) receiving the equipment from Dawn Healy, the charity chair.
